Just recently trying to copy with a RH click on doc or exl folders, to a CD or Floppy Disk, nothing happens with no messages why. Previously did not have any trouble and copying these was fine. {Office 2003 or older}
Could the learned ones please enlighten me ?

Hello Valdis, If you wish to copy a Folder to Disc out of your "My Documents" for example. open "My Documents" click on View--- Toolbars---- tick Standard Buttons, to open click on the "Yellow Folders" Icon, in the Standard Buttons Toolbar on top which opens the "File and Folders" Taskpane on the left (blue) of your Screen now right click on the Folder you wish to copy on your right next, mouse over "copy", and click on it in the "File and Folders Taskpane" on left, in the "Copy Items" Dialogbox which should pop up, highlight the inserted Disk and "click copy" on bottom of Copy Items Box. That's all! This should have done the Trick, the same should apply for any other Folders even .xls

The above now works for Word folders but not for Excel, because I can't find it under My Documents.
What I did before - open Word - Open - small window My Documents appears - from this sending selected files to CD does not work.
As suggested by Jutta my way to My Documents is now: C - Documents & Settings - User - My Documents - rest OK

Valdis, if you have no "My Documents" Icon on your "Desktop" to double click on, go to Start and click on "My Documents" in there!
To save a Worksheet or Workbook in Excel, click on File in Menubar on top click "Save As" The "Save As" Dialogbox opens, on the left select "My Documents", make sure you can see "My Documents" in the Save in Bar on top of Dialogbox if you however wanted to save your Work Book, or Work Sheet to an existing .xls Folder, you have set up in "My Documents" beforehand, and you wanted to add .xls Files, find that .xls Folder, and doubleclick on "it" so it shows in the "Save in Bar" on top of Dialogbox. give your new File a Name in the "Save as Bar" on bottom, in the Files of Type Bar on Bottom select Workbook or Spreadsheet etc.
look at my Screenshot, I saved one .xls Work Book to show you,
You should be able to copy or move your .xls Folders etc. now to Disk, the same way as I decribed above with Word Documents.
