When I got my new XP SP3 PC about a year ago I uninstalled the Norton Anti Virus trial software through Add/Remove programs.

Today I have started to get a message in a balloon on the Taskbar

“your computer might be at risk. Norton Internet Worm Protection is turned off. Click this balloon to fix this problem”

I cannot find any Norton anywhere on my PC.

Can someone please help me with what this is and how to get rid of it

Thanks Neon

Did this and it did work.

The PC restarted and up came a different balloon also with the Norton type icon in it

"Your computer might be at risk. No firewall is turned on. Click this balloon to fix the problem"
