Hi All, I just bought myself an OFFICE HOME & STUDENT 2007. Can anyone tell me how to remove my old OFFICE 97Pro ? When I try to remove it from the Control Panel it stops responding. I have reinstalled it to start in the new drive, because after installing a second hard drive the old D:\ has become the new E:\. So, what should I do. I even tried to install the new2007 one on top of the old97. Well, thanks Mr. Gates for the recovery points in MS. Any sugestions ? Thanks, Boris

Have you tried uninstalling the Program, from Start>>All Programs>>find Office 97Pro>>Mouse over to find the Uninstall Option, if it has that Option uninstall it from the new Drive the same way as well.

Hi Jutta, who said one has a lot of time in retirement ? Just got the time to read your advise. Thanks for that. It looks as there is no Unistall file in the Office97 Pro, at least I do not have it on my computer. When I try to do it from the Control Panel, after choosing either ADD/REMOVE or REMOVE ALL the computer hangs forewer. Thanks, Boris

Bostein, know what you mean about Retirement, seem to be busier then ever, still it keeps one on ones Toes, allthough cant help wondering sometimes (I thought I was suposed to be retired) this may help you to get rid of the unwanted Program install ARP+++ , small Program easy to follow! http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~bfriesen/software/arpxx.shtml

Hi Jutta, I finaly uninstalled Office 97. Now trying to get used to 2007, which makes me even busier. Thanks for that little ARP++. This will come handy, actualy it is already. One can see all installed programs and understand that grandchildren should be given a separate computer to keep them away from my. My grandson wisits us once a week, but what a mess in the computer! Installation of a personal for him HD 80 G's did not improve think much. Will have to think about replacing that personal drive by a PC. Thanks, anyway Boris.
