My Vista Ultimate laptop specifications include:-

wireless: Intel 802.11a/g & N which I understand to be the wireless card.

When connected to the internet via wireless how can I tell whether I have WPA security?  Is WPA  a required part of my system & if so where can I check it on my computer or is WPA accessed via my connection to my ISP.

After reading dozens of entries on the subject through Google, I am just as confused as ever.

The setting is set on your Modem/Router and you choose either WEP, WPA or WPA2 ( choose WPA2-PSK "AES" if available, if not then WPA) WEP is the least secure.
