WoW .... that's gotta hurt .... 3 in a row ...

Just off the phone and asked for refund should get it in a couple of weeks, I'll look at getting another after I'm sure the problems have been fixed.

I'm needing a new computer soon and I have been thinking of getting an Apple.   However,  your sad experience has put me off.
I was thinking of getting  MC 413 B/A.  I'd value your comments about it.   Jill.

Don't let this put you off getting an Apple especially the 27" i7 iMac, this is a hardware problem caused by ATI's Graphic cards and as soon as they are replaced I'll be ordering another in the New Year:-

27" iMac
2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
2TB Serial ATA Drive

I couldn't find a computer that correspond to the numbers you posted, do you have more info on it?

When you see how big the 27" is and how beautiful it is you'll know you made the choice.

Just a bump on this topic, still haven't got a new mac yet.

A second firmware was released by apple for the new iMac but some have reported that they still have flickering screens.

So what to do! Apple are about to update the Mac Pro line so I may wait and see if I can get a cheaper Mac Pro

Mac Pro has just arrived and it is blisteringly fast. Have to use an old BenQ FP937s LCD for now as the two Dell UltraSharp U2711 27” Widescreen Monitors may take a few more days to arrive.

It's been expensive but I'm now glad I went this way instead of the imac i7.

I'll post pictures when the LCDs arrive
