Hi Sue

You could try repairing Internet Explorer again. Here are the steps

1.   Start Internet Explorer.
2.   On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3.   On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
4.   In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset to confirm

You could try the Microsoft wizard which fixes problems automatically in Internet Explorer.

Go to this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 and about half way down the page click on the Fix it link

You could reinstall Internet Explorer 7 again at this link

You could have another go at Internet Explorer 8 at this link.  People on Ms Mega seem enthusiastic about it.

Hi Sue

That is about all I can think of in Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and the Address Book that can be causing your problems.

I know that you said that you are running Outlook Express, Windows Live and Incredimail and I have wondered if running them all at once may cause problems but I do not use Incredimail or Windows Live so am not familiar with them.

You also said that one of the main things you want to do is to get your Address Book details into Windows Mail from Outlook Express.  I would have thought that they should migrate automatically but the thing now is to ask that one of the many users here of Windows Mail help you with doing that.

Sorry.

Your emails in Outlook express are stored as .DBX files and you need a program to view them ... free one here .. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/dbxviewer.html

you can find the stored files ....

How OE stores files on your hard disk
All of your OE mail folders and messages, local IMAP and Hotmail folders and messages, and all of your subscribed newsgroups and messages are stored in one folder called the store root, or store root folder, or store folder, and in at least one place in OE, the Store root directory. It's default location is

C:\Windows\Application Data\Outlook Express\{GUID}
or
C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{GUID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

where {GUID} is the Global Unique IDentifier (technical jargon for a unique long number) used to specify an Identity. Depending on your operating system and upgrade history, your store folder might be located elsewhere. To determine the location of your store, click Tools| Options| Maintenance| Store folder.

Windows Live grabs the address book when it is installed ...

You might try this ... in windows live mail open address book and  click File/ export/ .CSV .... then open OE and file/impoet  ... and inport it there ...

I am not sure it will work but worth a shot ...
