I got a free Norton 360 given out free at Bathurst last year  it was actually quite good much better than than the Norton Internet Security. Anyway its running out and they want $100 to renew ! so I came in last night to see that you guys still recommend Eset smart security 4 / Nod 32 and I downloaded and installed a trial version of it. I must say I was surprised at the lower price and the ease of setting it up, I really didn't do anything and I'm wondering if maybe I missed something !  I had some memory of it being expensive and hard to use. So is it ok to more or less let it go on the default settings?

Yes just use the default setting, did you uninstall Norton 360?

Hi neon I have also been interested in Nod 32 & d/l a trial version, disabled all other malware, spyware, firewall & anti virus before installing but once installed I couldn't get onto the net at all, do you know what I may have done that I shouldn't or didn't do that I should have please

There is two different versions ESET Smart Security 4 (has a firewall) or ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 (no Firewall) which did you install?

You may need to totally remove any other antivirus programs first
