Gosh oldyella you & your wife have had such a hard time of it. Get in-touch with a current affairs program & get your plight out in the public arena, it is after all an election year,

It is after all an election year.

I don't want to start a political forum but...
Do you really think this makes a difference? i have been in a long running correspondence with Jenny Macklins Office. I received an email on Monday that  stated that as my query is about a matter of policy it would be inappropriate for the Government to deal with it in an election period!! I should point out that the correspondence commenced last March!

Am I cynical, you bet because I really don't think -in fact I know, that the other mob cares just as little.

I would suggest that ABC 4 Corners is a good program to contact and changes  have happened due to there intervention.

I was so sorry to hear about your poorly wife oldyella and had high hopes before that she was getting better. Thoughts are with you both and hope that she does improve.  You take good care of yourself too.

Trust me mate they don't get it all that well as a lot of emails would have you believe.
With my wife from Thailand I have had first hand experience on how government departments treat us both and it's not at all nice.

Mate, you have had a bad run of things and I hope it all improves for you soon.
Take care and hang in there and I know we are all thinking of you and the wife so all the best. Jim.

Dear oldyella

I know precisely what you are going through. All I can say in time it becomes less hurtful, though the pain will last.
Try to mix with people as much as possible. Your neighbors are a good start. Look around you whom YOU can help and you quickly find help for yourself.
Please accept my heartfelt condolence.

So thinkjing of you Old Yeller.  I know about the empty house.  Radio or TV on all the time, a little dog is a great companion. I'm sure you have many lovely memories of your life with your wife.

take care.

Dear Oldyella, have been away from the forum for a while, (also due to illness  in family) and am so saddened to read of your loss.
My very sincere condolences to you and yours. Take your time to grieve, and when you're ready to venture back into the world, you'll know.
