This last one from Neon doesn't cater for Vodafone Australia. OK for Optus and Telstra.

Ohh got all excited at the prospect of sending free SMS, so sent one to myself as a try-out only to find that it costs $3.50 to read it.. nothing is as good as it seems....

Using which service? I use YouSendIt regularly, and no-one has to pay to read the messages I send.

Edit: Whoops, make that Yakedi.

I just sent one to myself on Yakedi.  There was no request for money to read it.

Hi, I registered with yakedi., they sent a text with code no., which I've put in, but it just keeps coming up with me to put the code in all the time. Has anyone else had probs. I've sent them emails, but haven't had any replies.

What happens when you put in the code they sent you?

As far as I can remember, that code is a one-off which you use to set up all your details. I did it so long ago that I can't remember now, but I've certainly had no trouble since, and I use Yakedi a lot. I just log on (email address and password) and send messages. And I'm sure I was never asked for that sort of personal information.

It's yakedi that won't let me sign up. check my first post Paul. it's the free test one that asks for private info. not the yakedi.. thanks anyway. not worrying bout it.  Can't change my password as they say that fone no is already registered..
