my mb is about 5 years old by now & all the young ones tell me it might be on its death bed, also also my case which has a large perspex side window used to light up like a christmas tree and now no lights( not that I ever knew where the light came from as there is no sign of any sort of bulb)  help please  Sad

If it is dusty give it a good blow out as it might be overheating ?

If not then I would look at the Power Supply as it sounds like that may causing the problem.

thanks jim, I have recently given it a clean out, it may be the power supply on the way out, it would certainly be a few years old, I have never changed the power supply before but I will have to learn as the local tecki co. are now charging $100. to look at a computer, then you buy the part, then they charge just about as much to install. Thanks for your input Ps: seems to have stopped the re-booting for the moment anyway

cheers
