To use or NOT  to use.  That is the question.   I am using Windows 7 and although I've read a bit about Silverlight,  I don't really understand what it does.
Is it a good thing to install ?

Yes I think it is a good thing as I have a site that I need it for and have noticed since this site has been using it it streams video content smoother and uses less of my megs to download ...

Put it this way. If you DON'T have it installed you'll be told when you need it. If you DO have it installed you won't know when it's in use.

There is no reason not to install it.
