I bought office mac to go with my imac. I was told it would have microsoft encounter in the package but I can't find it. Does anyone know?

Do you mean Microsoft Communicator? if so just click Spotlight and type Communicator you should see it

No I actually meant encounter. The one on display in the shop had encounter with the mac office.
Apparently it has a type out outlook explorer on it and you can export your pc emails across.?

I meant outlook express. I had never heard of encounter either. Where do you find the outlook for mac file?

Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Student 2011 does not have Outlook only Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 has Outlook, if you have the later it should have the icon on your dock.

No I bought the student version. Significantly cheaper and good enough for my needs.

The Mail.app that comes with Mac OS X is pretty good anyway
