I have been offered a Samsung M2 Portable USB 2.0 750GB External Hard Drive at an "incredibly silly price" of £59 by a major firm.

Features are:-

•   Samsung M2 Portable USB 2.0 750GB External Hard Drive
•   Stores up to 285,000 photos or 820 movies
•   Lightweight and compact
•   Anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint
•   Universally compatible

Does anyone know if this is any good please and is it a good price?

Can't find anything about M2 ??

It's not cheap though ...

If I were buying a portable external drive now days I would look for USB 3.0  as news machines are coming out with that now and is backwards compatable with USB 1.1 & 2.0 ...

Thanks Jim

The Amazon one looks a good deal for a 1TB at £69.99 and free delivery and Samsung are highly rated here so I think I'll go for that.

Jim

When I went to buy this the Reviews on its Amazon link say it has to be reformatted and other gripes. Would I have to do this?

I don't see that they have any "gripes" .... they are just saying they changed from Fat32 to NTFS because Acronis backups can be stored on there then ...

If your just using it to store data / videos / music ... just general stuff then Fat32 is fine.
