Hello All, I am using Vista Home Premium and Microsoft outlook 2007 and for some strange reason The Microsoft Outlook Calendar won't open and I get the egg timer and the entire program freezes. I have no problem opening e-mail or contacts. This started to happen two days ago so feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Hotfoot

I found this:
- In Outlook, go to "Tools";
- Select "Trust Center"
- In Trust Center, click "Add-Ins"
- At The Bottom Make Sure That "Com Add-Ins" is selected and Click "Go"
- You must uncheck, as many of the add-ins as possible. There may be some Microsoft programs that it will not let you uncheck. That's OK. Uncheck as many items as possible.
- After you are done, you must close Outlook 2007 completely and restart Outlook

Hello Neonwizard,
Thank you very much for the suggestion but unfortunately it did not work. Prior to doing your suggestion I also went into the Control Panel, Program and Features, and did a "repair" on Microsoft Outlook which didn't repair the problem either. Luckily I recently exported the calendar, contacts and e-mails to a.PST file as a backup and I will probably try to reinstall Microsoft Office if I cannot find a simpler solution. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Regards, Hotfoot

Hello, just letting you know that I appreciate the feedback and was lucky enough that it did not need to reinstall or repair the program. It ended up contacting Microsoft Customer Support (being that it pays to have licensed software) and received very good troubleshooting support over the phone which took about 45 min-60 min of troubleshooting to fix the problem. Eventually I was instructed to go into Start and reconfigure the program. Microsoft Customer Support person was not only helpful but very patient and polite which is really great.
