Hi Folks
The above is not closing properly.  I have to alt+ctrl+delete to stop the process.  I have disabled all add ins with the exception of my Anti-virus.
I have also used the HihjackThis program and saved a log.  Any solutions would be appreciated

Sounds like you might need to run a repair on it ....

Thanks Jimbob
I have already done the diagnostics and got a response that there were no problems.

I don't know what you can do without a complete reinstall of Outlook ....

I have had a few people I have worked on their machines with Outlook problems and eventually went over to Windows Live Mail and haven't looked back.
Live Mail is continually updating and I find it very stable and have 9 email accounts in it with no problem.

You do have to consider as well 2007 is nearly 5 years old now ....

I use outlook because of some it's features like Tasks etc.  I might do a reinstall or consider upgrading to Outlook 2010

My anti virus scans both in and outgoing mail.  Should I disable it?
