I love Facebook, I communicate with family and friends in Australia and abroad

Method 1.

https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account

Wait for the email to arrive then follow the instructions. This will permanently delete your account forever with no chance of restoring it.

Metod 2.

https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=security

The method is deactivating your Facebook page, it doesn't delete anything it's stored on there server and can be retrieved at a later date if you which to use Facebook again.

You must be logged in to Facebook to use either of these links

I got sick of people asking me to buy things for a farm or something else.
Also got fed up with being invited to have 'unknown' people join me as a friend.
I just wanted to talk to friends and relatives.

I must admit it was perfect when my grandson was with the military in Afghanistan. He is USA Army.

Apart from that I don't find any use at all.
I have a number of friends (baby boomers) who prefer email.

I have Facebook locked down, only family and friends can see anything I post, I don't get people asking to be "Friends" because they don't no the page exists and now with the stronger piracy setting it's pretty easy to do. I have blocked all advertising on the site which it pretty easy with adblockers these days.

It now the first place I upload my photos and videos to simple because it filters down to all my mobile hardware iPhone, tablets etc..

Finally I'm very very addicted to Texas HoldEm Poker which I like to play as a wine-down
