Hi all, I am trying to copy an MKV format movie from my Mac desktop to my external hardrive so I can watch it through my media centre on my HD TV but get this message "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0).". Any suggestions anyone please. Thank you.

No don't convert it again, what is the media centre your using?

How big is the .mkv file?

Is the HDD formatted Fat32 or NTFS?

Sorry guys for the delay in posting my reply, Thank you for your replies, but had already converted it and didn't know how to copy it from one place to the other so just watched the movie on my desktop.
Thanks again Neonwizard

If you just have a hard drive connected to your Media Centre and depending on the size of the .mkv (remember FAT32 up to 4GB, NTFS 4GB up) you can just coo net the HDD to your computer and drag the .mkv to the HDD.
