My secunia tells me that PHP5.2x is no longer supported and appears I need to update..Ok firstly do I need PHP ?? This is for windows 7 home....Now I have been to PHP site and havent a clue which programme to download..any ideas??? Charlie.

Did you download anything that put this on or did you change anything in Add and Remove? (Programs and Features)

Hi Neon, if you are talking about PHP no I havent done anything at all here, it is as it came with windows 7....If you are referring to companion search, I dont think I have downloaded anything here apart from glary utilites which I uninstalled...but dont worry  about the companion search as the standard search is operating ok..Note PHP is windows 7 and companion search is with xp

Not sure if this is it or not but best to check, Go in to Control Panel and open Programs and Features.

On the left hand side you'll see "Turn Windows features on and off" double click it

In the list that appears is Internet Information Service checked or unchecked?

To avoid my  confused mind, I have windows 7 and thats  the php problem..If I go to 7 and can see see internet information services is unticked as is is internet information services hostable web core...Thats the php . Windows xp is the companion search problem..Huh?

If Internet Information Services is unchecked then I'm pretty stumped on how to fix this.

Nothing I'm posting here is referring to Windows XP or it's Search Companion only Windows 7 and PHP
