I keep getting notification to download net, which says hdaudbus.sys is needed This is  in xp pro. It has something to do with high definition audio..This has only started to show up the last couple of days... I see my drivers have yellow marks re audio, I cannot download  or update them...Can I safely delete these drivers Huh? As far as I know I dont have any HD audio programmes. The hardware upudate wizard cannot instal as connot find the necessary software, so it appears it cannot find the drivers because the programme doesnt exist?Huh??

Do you have sound?

What is your audio device name?

You really need to update drivers as they won't be on your computer you will need to download them.

That seems to be the ethernet device ...

Download and run Systems Information for Windows and run it to see what your audio device is ...
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/siw.html

Then we can get the right drivers to fix the problem ....

Hi Jim, I've been around the world and back....found  a backup from acronis which seemed to sort out the problem, but then increased the problems further as IE browser went haywire, couldnt get updates , my igoogle browser worked ok, I redownloaded IE 8  then found I had 62 updates to complete....Since then it appears to be working fine............
