Gee harrow
this is going back some years but I think to remember you can save your file as a *wps or a *doc. Why not check that out?

Hi Harrow,

If  you sent this link with your email they can download a Viewer for Microsoft Works and hopefully read your attachment

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=B9E11E83-F51B-4977-B572-8C042DF802C1&displaylang=EN

Brief Description
The Works 6.0 Converter allows you to convert word processor documents created in Microsoft Works 6.0 to Microsoft Word and other Works programs. Specifically, this converter works with Works 2000, 4.5, and 4.x, and Word 2003, 2002, 2000, and 97

If you cant download the converter you could Copy and Paste your resume into WordPad and attach it if there is not too much fancy formating in it.

Everyone has WordPad as its a free word processor that comes with Windows.

I have Microsoft Works Word  Processor Version 7  on my computer.

I'm having problems too when I send docs.,  to folk who have a different version of Word.  They can't read them.

Any advice please  ?

Windows XP Home.   Service Pack 2

Many thanks,   Jill.

Make sure save the file as .DOC and not DOCX or DOCM

or get the person how you are sending the files to to download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

Thanks Isis Rose.

Copy and paste into  Word Pad was the solution for me.   Saving as .doc  didn't solve the problem  Huh??  I expect I did something wrong.  I often do !!!     Jill.
