I know how to insert columns, that isn't a problem, but I have typed a document above that, and dont want it included in the columns.

I just forget how to make a "break" between the document and the columns.

Hi jood

On the Menu choose Format --> Columns -->

At the bottom of this dialog box choose from

Apply to:  Whole Document or  From this point on
