Hi all,
I am using Comodo firewall on my computer running Win XP SP2 with a 256k broadband internet connection.
I note that svchost.exe makes many attempts to connect to the internet. Comodo considers this activity suspicious??? (see attached screenshot). What is svchost.exe and should I allow it internet access?? I seem to recal seeing somewhere that it is part of the Win operating system?
Thanks,
Johnno

Yes Johnno, see reply below posted by Neonwizard on 30th May, 2007.

'svchost.exe is for windows update and other services and WgaTray.exe is a part of Windows Genuine Advantage Notification so both of these are ok they should be set to allow and check the box "remember my answer to this application"'.

Thanks for the info.
As indicated in my post I'm double checking before allowing access.
