Hi Neonwizard,
I have recently started using ADSL broadband, a 256/64 connection. Initially I was using ZoneAlarm Free firewall and found that my connection kept dropping out. A computer restart would reconnect only to again later dropout. Eventually I switched back to Windows firewall (Win XP SP2) and no further problem. Are there settings to be made in ZoneAlarm to maintain a continuous connection? as I would prefer to use it.
Regards,
Johnno

Your modem would also have a setting within it to keep a connection alive at all times. What Name/model modem are you using?

I use Comodo Firewall and am very happy with the results.

I totally agree.... This is the way I have gone with my 3 computers.

Here is a link to download  http://www.majorgeeks.com/Comodo_Personal_Firewall_d5033.html

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your responses.
My modem is a Linksys AM300 (provided by ISP) As I said problem only exists when using ZA.
Will download and try Comodo.
Regards,
Johnno

Have downloaded and installed Comodo. Very user friendly so far and connection does not drop out. Looks Good.
Thanks All,
Johnno
