I have build a worksheet over a few weeks. Today I tried to open the worksheet and will not open and gives me the message "Too many different cell formats" I have put a lot of hours into this spreadsheet so hopefully someone can tell me how I can open it and how to prvent it happing ahain.

Try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/213904 if you find it still doesn't open download OpenOffice (it's free) install it and see if that opens the Excel file.
