Iv,e been to your "protect yourself" post and AVG has anti spyware,anti virus,and anti rootkit,
which do I need .It will be running alonside ZA firewall

Install these along with your Firewall:
Avast! Antivirus
BOClean Antimalware
(this runs & updates in the background all the time you don't have to do anything)
Spywareblaster
AVG Anti-Spyware
(use this to do a manual scans every so often)
you should be pretty safe.

The AVG antispyware is a trial only and won't allow updates after a month or two (assuming people are only after free programs)

That is not right it does allow updates and is free for ever, updates must be done manually.

Do you mean to uninstall AVG "anti virus" and instal avast along with "AVG anti spyware" as well as BOClean
and Spywareblaster
Could I not leave AVG antivirus "ADD" AVG antispyware and the other two
leaving the ZA as is
ZA and AVG antivirus are installed and running as we speak
thoughts please

If you like AVG antivirus keep that fine and keep ZA, but install AVG AntiSpyware and Spywareblaster and BOclean.
