I shifted my laptop and desktop to different desks, unplugging and replugging. I'm not able to use my printer on the laptop that was networked. Can use it if I plug it in to the laptop, but unable to use it networked to the desktop. Would anyone have any ideas?? I've tried turned the printer off and using another usb port. I'm hoping I don't have to go thru the network procedure again. Am using Xp on both machines.

You could try uninstalling the printer on both computers.   Then add the printer as a "local printer" on the computer it is plugged in to.   Then add the printer as a "network printer" on the computer it is NOT plugged into.

Thanks for yor reply. Had a friend here today and we managed to print a card that I'd printed yesterday with create a card, but it wouldnt print out a recipe. I've just gotten back on to try it and it straight away printed a recipe.... not sure what or wy this happened.. Oh well, at least it is working..... lol.
