Who is ultimately responsible for costs etc when one uses the laptop wireless facility??
It seems so easy to connect when "on the road" but who is paying?? And is my information
at risk if I go wireless?? What are the implications?? Hope someone has some answers.

The costs are incurred by whoever the network belongs to.

Connecting to others networks like this is illegal unless you have permission.

Not always so.
Last month on a holiday on the Gold Coast I found one could connect to the internet anywhere inside a shopping center. Asking about it I learnt there are many places that offer this facility. FOR FREE.

n-a.
