I have created a word document for work with lots of bookmarks, saved as a web page (.mht) and usually access it via Internet Explorer. Every now and then the bookmarks disappear and I have to re-do them. I haven't been able to detect a pattern or any "trigger" that point to any reason for this. Any ideas?  (Word 2003, XP Operating System)

I've tried to replicate what you have said but it seems to work ok for me, you could try save as PDF.
