My scanner sends OCR text to WordPad in .txt format, then I open it in Word and re-save it as a Word Document.
When I copy a page with two columns of text, OCR recognises it and sends it to WordPad as one column, but only the width of the original column. When I open it in Word, it is still in the narrow column.

How do I re-format the text to full column width?
Until now I have labouriously done this line by line, which takes forever on a long document.

PS. After Thought: "to format your text to "full Column with in Word", go to
File>>Print Preview>>if your Column or Columns are not to your liking, click on Format in your Menu Bar on top, (while in Print Preview)>>click on Columns>>in the Columns Command Box you are able to change your Column Size or Column Numbers, or for the Whole Document or part Document etc.
