After having Sygate for a couple of years I have decided to install Zone Alarm 7 as there are never any updates for Sygate.

I have deactivated my etrust Vet Antivirus and Windows Defender but when trying to install ZA I get the following message"

Installation Conflict!

Computer Associates Antivirus was detected on this computer and may cause a conflict with Zone Alarm.

Please uninstall before installing Zone Alarm.

Any suggestions please.

Rhea

Sorry! Am running Windows XP Home

Seems to be a known problem (see here) from what I have read you can download and install ZApro and install it and it should work with etrust, after 15 days ZApro will become ZAfree.

So it looks like it's a conflict with the free version of zonealarm only.

I would suggest you download COMODO Firwall free ... http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

It is better in my opinion than ZA and runns better in my machines.

Un-install Comodo then reboot watch this tutorial to see if you are installing it correctly, then re-install it.

Sorry Neonwizard, I probably did not explain correctly.

I cannot download Comodo at all. Not install it.

Cannot get past the continue after selecting the language I want it downloaded in.

Thanks,

Maybe you have to allow the popup on the download site!
